April 8 & 9, 2011
Family & Friends Connection 2011 provided us an opportunity to meet families and friends of innocent victims of pursuit face to face. Police officers from three area departments joined families. They shared meals with us and enjoyed Glenn Morshower's presentation "The Extra Mile." Officers were recognized for making our streets safer.

What we did at PursuitSAFETY's Family Connections 2011!
Highlights included:
- PursuitSAFETY's heart ceremony for families of innocent victims of pursuit
- awards to members of three law enforcement agencies who are working for a safer way
- "The Extra Mile," an entertaining and uplifting presentation by Glenn Morshower, PursuitSAFETY's spokesperson and a gifted actor, widely known for his role as Agent Aaron Pierce on the Fox hit series "24," and
- a hopeful presentation by Cindy Winters.

Here is what we accomplished!
April 8, Friday
4:15 pm — Welcome reception: Getting to know each other, remembering those we love with pictures in a PowerPoint presentation. Other video presentations include PursuitSAFETY's public service announcements and pictures from PursuitSAFETY's Memorial Blood Drives.
4:45 pm — Opening presentations featuring Maryville Police Chief Richard Schardan. Chief Schardan will welcome you with a before-dinner talk. He and Candy Priano, PursuitSAFETY's executive director, will present awards to officers who are paving the way to make our streets safer.
5:30-7:00 pm — St. Louis Barbecue Dinner & complimentary music by DJ Tawnya Lange, giving us more time to spend with each other!
7:30 pm — Glenn Morshower. Go The Extra Mile with television and film star Glenn Morshower. Glenn is a gifted actor, widely known for his role as Agent Aaron Pierce on the Fox hit series "24" and travels around the world presenting his inspiring talk The Extra Mile. Glenn Morshower brought so much love and support to families of innocent victims of pursuit. The families shared comments that Glenn was so kind, so genuine and so engaging. He participated in every event, shared meals and stayed with the families for three days! He attended this event at no cost to PursuitSAFETY and simply said, "It's a love gift to family members of innocent victims of police chases or response calls. |

9 -10 am — No-host Breakfast Meeting: Please join PursuitSAFETY's team leaders in the hotel restaurant. We'll discuss ways for you to tell your stories and ask you how we can better help families in need. Your voice counts!
