While you're reading this, someone needs blood. Blood is always needed for treatment of car crash victims, cancer patients, hemophiliacs and surgery patients.

The PursuitSAFETY team will help you organize blood drives in memory of innocent pursuit victims and officers in your community. In 2010, three families held the first ever PursuitSAFETY-sponsored blood drives and discovered that the rewards are infinite. Learn how to set up your blood drive.

Kim Schlau has held blood drives in memory of her daughters since 2008.
She suggested that PursuitSAFETY families might want to do the same for their loved ones.

Always Remembered (from left): Kelli and Jessica Uhl, Illinois; Steven Ehrensperger, Alabama; and Kristie Priano, California. Family, friends and people who didn't even know these children donated blood in their memory. Together, these three blood drives in 2010 brought in more than 95 pints of blood.
Imagine, if you get involved in 2011, PursuitSAFETY memorial blood drives will help supply even more blood to the 4.5 million Americans who need a blood transfusion each year.
To arrange a memorial blood drive sponsored by PursuitSAFETY, call Candy Priano at 530-343-9754.
Once your date is set, you will receive a PursuitSAFETY banner, brochures, and other handout materials. The blood source organization in your area provides the medical staff, equipment and supplies, a news release about your blood drive to the media, and flyers (similar to those shown above). You just need to distribute the flyers to area businesses.
PursuitSAFETY's National Memorial Blood Drives happen year-round, every year. We want to give blood because it saves lives. It takes just a little work to get things rolling. Call Candy at PursuitSAFETY, 530-343-9754.
